A cold march morning was not enough to cool the determination of a Wrexham squad hungry for success

Before the game even kicked off we were bombarded, unfortunately with a barrage of hailstone.

The squad was able to split into two due to our numbers and whilst one team played the other trained on defensive tactics.

Tries scored in brackets

Team 1 - Rhys (1), Oliver, Charlie (4), Will, Iwan(1), Diego(1), Gabrielle and Tyler

Result - 7-3

The first game of the day has on several occasions been a slow start, however that was not the case today as Wrexham pushed a spirited Denbigh back. There was excellent passing, support and defending. Not one team member was shirking their responsibility.

Team 2 - Lewis, Matty, Ben, Joseph(1), Daryn, Morgan(1), Iwan(1), Dan (1) and George

Result - 4-0

The first game for team 2 was under difficult conditions as it seemed even colder. This however his did not stop and equally spirited team playing their best rugby of the season. Sion did an extra defensive session with them and this showed as players were quick to rebuild their lines after each tag. A couple of knock-ons from Wrexham could have made the score even more flattering.

Team 1 - Rhys, Oliver, Charlie(1), Will (1), Iwan (1), Diego (1), Gabrielle and Tyler

Result - 4-1

After a defensive training session the first squad of players took to the field of play again to an even better display of attacking and defending. Again everyone was excellent and deserved to win, a moment of brilliance from a Denbigh player bringing them the consolation score.

Team 2 - Lewis, Matty, Ben, Joseph(1), Daryn, Morgan(1), Iwan(1), Dan (1) and George

Possibly the best organised defensive effort of the day. Players were instructing others to be in the correct places and leading the defensive effort which for team 2 lead to a clean sheet. Tagging was excellent but this was a much shorter game and only produced a 2-0 score.

A good day for the U8s

As always a thank you to our guests Denbigh who brought along some spirited youngsters to play in really cold conditions. Diolch

Thank you to all parents and supporters for again supporting our young people
