Wrexham U8's find form at Denbigh

Wrexham under 8's made the trip to Denbigh and came away with the victory. Once again both Denbigh and Wrexham were able to field strong squads which meant the teams were able to split into two and play two games simultaneously thus giving all players valuable game time.

Unlike last weeks fixtures at Winnington Park, Wrexham came out firing on all cylinders. The pre-match team talk that included a message from Father Christmas that said "If you run into touch this week - that's one present off you Christmas List" obviously worked!!

Team 1 won both their matches. Some fantastic runs by the team made for some excellent tries being scored. But it was the support play that won the day. Denbigh made some excellent tags, but the pace of the Wrexham support meant they were on hand to take the ball on and score the tries. Special mention in Team 1 must go to Charlie who picked up a magnificent haul of 8 tries in both games. Morgan also worked hard picking up 5 scores.

Team 2 won one and lost the other. Once again the team made some fantastic runs and kept the mistakes to a minimum. Denbigh fought hard and picked up the win in the second match. In this match special mention must go to Rhys who worked exceptionally hard and scored a fantastic 7 tries in the two matches. Lewis kept up his try tally with an excellent 4 tries.
