Win takes Wrexham top

Wrexham head coach Alan Jenkins turned his focus towards next weeks Cup clash with Bridgend after their rout of Abergele on Saturday.
The 78-0 victory puts Jenkins side top of North Wales Division Two and the Wrexham coach thought it was a case of “job done”
“I thought that it’s a good win, scoring that many points and not conceding is obviously pleasing but I felt we could’ve done better.” Said Jenkins.
“We’ve gone top today so it’s a case of job done.”
“It’ll be a tougher game next weekend against a South Wales team but we’re looking forward to it.”
Wrexham raced into an early lead with Ed Evans and Sam Rogers both going over inside five minutes for very well worked tries.
The hosts forwards dominated throughout and Troy Roberts soon forced his way over from close distance.
Torio Derosa then scored the bonus point try after only 15 minutes with a good finish.
Matt Evans then scored a great try beating four men on his way to the line in spectacular fashion before demanding the ref gave it by numerous cries of “Its down”.
Jack Harrison then bundled his way over before Rogers scored his second with a well worked try.
The half century was reached minutes into the second half as Ed Evans dotted down for his second of the afternoon.
Wrexham’s expansive game then provided two more scores as tries from Thom Crossman and Jamie Weston extended the lead even further.
Olly Dodd scored on his return before Matt Whitely capped off the game with a good individual try.
