Wrexham trusted their 2nds with a sprinkle of youth

Wrexham 2s who had already been crowned league champions took on Shotton 2s in the Clwyd Plate final.
Resisting the option of drafting in 1st team players Wrexham relied on the players who had won the league and got the team to the final - much to the disappointment of kier Harding!
This team included new Capt. Rich Priamo and club stalwarts Jason Parry and Matt Arnold together with a couple of youth team players who have made the Break through into senior rugby this season.
In a very tough game Wrexham came out victorious 9-0 with the only points of the game scored through the boot of second row Dave Thomas with three difficult penalties.
In a very tense game Wrexham defended very well and had the better of the set piece plays - dominating the scrum.
