It’s that time of year when we need to start thinking about next season.

Dear Members,
It’s that time of year when we need to start thinking about next season, I know it feels like last season has only just finished but we are only 8 weeks away from our first Senior team friendly. With two senior teams in the National Leagues and the expected continued successes of our significant Mini & Junior sections there is a great deal to look forward to.
As a management team we have been busy planning for the season ahead. In the next few weeks we will publish some dates for your diaries. With the Rugby World Cup and the various ‘All Club’ which includes ‘Old Boys’ reunions and ‘Supporters’ socials being planned there is much to look forward to. An important date to look out for is the club registration and fun day where everyone will be welcome to come along and complete annual club membership and registration with the WRU. We are hoping that this day will be as successful as last year and will give members of the club the opportunity to meet each other and support the club by helping us fundraise on the day. Full details will be sent out in due course.
Coming up soon is the ‘Wrexham Rugby Force’ day on Saturday 13th July. We are asking members if they can spare a few hours of their day to come along and help out with some jobs around the club to help improve the facilities for everyone. The water urn will be on and the tea and coffee will be in plentiful supply courtesy of the club. Further details of the day will be advertised closer to the time.

The board have given careful consideration to membership fees this season. Last year we were able to maintain membership fees at the same rate as 2018/19. This year we have decided that there needs to be a slight increase in membership fees to cover the increases in costs of running our community club. We sent out a break-down of what it costs to run the club in November 2018.
The option to pay either in full at the start of the season or monthly is still available. If you wish to pay monthly, then there will be a slight additional charge to help cover administration fees.

We have introduced a new social membership this year. Social membership is priced at £20.00 per year. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer monthly instalments on this option so full payment is required when you sign up. As a thank you to club members we are now in the position to offer you 10% discount at the bar when you produce your membership card.

Membership cards will be provided at the start of the season, all you need to do is provide us with a passport size photograph and we will do the rest. Members need to note that we are unable to provide discount without production of your membership card.
Seasonal repositioning trial.

I also want to briefly mention a trial that the club are participating in this season. The WRU are trialling an initiative called seasonal repositioning. Our mini section (u7s - u12s) will be playing a slightly different season this year than the usual traditional season that we normally play.

The season will start as usual in September and you will train and play matches until December. December and January will be months where you won’t play any rugby matches (or not as many). Matches will resume in February and the season will continue through until June.

The theory behind the reposition of the season is that younger children don’t play in the colder months and they participate in more ‘festival’ type matches in May & June. This is only a trial and we may revert back to the more traditional playing regime the season after.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and as usual if you have any questions or queries then please do not hesitate to get in contact with myself or any of the club’s management team.

Many thanks
